Before your first treatment our reflexologist will talk to you about your medical history, then you'll lie down while each of your feet is held and massaged in turn. Sensing any congestion or imbalance, the practitioner will use pressure and massage to influence the flow of energy through your body and stimulate balance and healing.
Your feet are maps to all aspects of your body and your treatment is carefully focused on your needs. You will become increasingly tranquil when pressure is applied but at times you may feel a little discomfort as the tissue tension releases.
After your first treatment most people feel a sense of well-being and deep relaxation. The intake of plenty of fluids will limit the effects of lethargy and possible nausea which occasionally may be experienced as a result of the removal of toxins from the body.
The number of treatments you need will depend on your symptoms and is something that you and your reflexologist will advise you on.
